3 Ideas To Create A Highly Converting Opt-In

Do you have an opt-in on your website or do you need to update the one you currently have?  This article is for you.

Keep reading, this article is for you.

release your opt-in

This opt-in generated 31 new subscribers in 7 days without running any ads, basically all generated for FREE and you can do it too…

Having an opt-in is a great list-building tool that is highly overlooked. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to add people to your list who are genuinely interested in what you have to offer. It’s also a great opportunity to start building relationships as part of your social media strategy.

But first things first to make your inbox burst, you must know what you should include in your freebie. You also need to know how long it should be, and how to make it visible to your followers. This is something that I cover inside “A Simple Guide To Release Your Opt-in”.  Grab a copy here.

A highly converting opt-in will offer great value, be easily consumable and keep your followers interested in YOU and what you have to offer. That’s why I don’t recommend 30-day meal plans as an opt-in because they take too long to implement. A freebie that is too long also raises too many questions that require the person to have access to you. If people can’t have access to you, they quit and move on to the next person.

Creating an easily consumable opt-in is easier than you think. Here are 3 ideas for the perfect opt-in to help you brainstorm…

  1. Guide Opt-In

This type of freebie is the easiest one to create because you are focusing on one action. You are sharing secrets that will help your followers get a specific result. Results like a 2-page PDF on how you got 800 new members on your email list in 2 days.

  2. Cheat Sheets

Cheat sheets are usually straight to the point with step-by-steps instructions on how to duplicate your results. They are perfect for recipes and technical how-tos and not more than 4 pages are enough.

  3. Video Tutorials

If you’re a talker like me and you love to demonstrate how-tos, video tutorials are ideal for you. They are usually about 10 minutes long and are easy to create using software like ScreenFlow for Mac and Camtasia for PC.  I use Screenflow and one of the tutorials that helped me start making my own videos in 24 hours is Video Hero.

If people are not downloading your freebie, it’s not that they don’t need help. They are not getting on your email list because your offer is not enticing enough. People buy from people they like and trust, and trust starts with the first contact with you. Take time to nurture this relationship starting with an enticing opt-in that will keep them coming back for more.

This is a step that I need to take. I really like the idea of video tutorial. Everyone else says create an eBook and writing is not my free flowing skill, but video…..I can grab a hold of that. Thank you for sharing options. It is very freeing.

I’ve got a bunch of opt-ins. I need to go in and clean them up/out to better focus on my ideal client. One thing I haven’t done is video — and I won’t until I find the Beyonce filter on my webcam. Just sayin… šŸ˜‰
